How often do you log in at your TYPO3 account(s) and how often does your customer look at the really boring login form?
It is time for a change and the extension chloginskin makes it possible! Until now you needed to hack into extensions (t3skin, skin_grey_2,...) to modify the backend login.
Now you just need to install this extension, go to the extension manager, set the path to the css file, delete the cache and finally of course edit the css file and you are done! You can even set different css files for different urls.
The following examples should show you what is kind of possible in very short time! Send me a pic of your new login if you want to - I am interested!

Hallo Georg,
typo3/sysext/cms/layout/db_layout.php (Beispiel)
Fehlermeldung:
File does not exist: /path/to/www/cms/typo3/sysext/cms/fileadmin, referer: www.domain.de/cms/typo3/sysext/cms/layout/db_layout.php
DocumentRoot vom Server ist "/path/to/www/"
chloginskin is a wonderful extension, just what I was looking for!
Everything accept the rotating images works fine. It looks like I'm doing something wrong. I set the path and also tried what ron wrote, but it doesn't wont to work.
Where in my css do I have to refer to the rotating images?
I found it, TG I found it !!!, It was the path to the picts..It has to be inside the path for the css's...thanks for this great extention...If I ever do money out of this,,I promise I will share it with you....GBY
hi, cool that it works now! you can also rate the ext in the repository! ;)
I tried to rate it,,but it seems the option is hidden,,I left a feedback comment...
I put display:block and still the login screen shows messed up. Hopped you could give me more hints...
I have try a lot of notations as path for the rotating image , but, I can not get the be login background image to appear. It appears only a typo3logo_mini.png....
Hi, be aware that the img is by default hidden with the css body#typo3-index-php #loginimage,
body#typo3-index-php #loginbox-image { display: none}
Somehow I just cannot get this to work. What am I missing? Please could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!
My ext_conf_template.txt reads as follows but it insists on loading the default stylesheet for all subdomains:
# cat=basic; type=string; label=Default stylesheet:Use your own stylesheet. For a different stylesheet for an url use this syntax: www.url1.com=fileadmin/styles1.css, www.url2.com=fileadmin/styles2.com .
#stylesheet = typo3conf/ext/chloginskin/res/login1.css
www.llgc.org.uk/typo3/index.php=typo3conf/ext/chloginskin/res/login_www.css, mewnol.llgc.org.uk/typo3/index.php=typo3conf/ext/chloginskin/res/login_mewnol.css, ecstranet.llgc.org.uk=typo3conf/ext/chloginskin/res/login_ecstranet.css
# cat=basic; type=boolean; label=Random mode: If set, all given stylesheets will come in an random order.
random = 0
# cat=basic; type=string; label=Path to the rotating images: Set the path to images you want to rotate.
rotateImgPath =
# cat=basic; type=boolean; label=Enable XCLASS: If enabled, the backend login will use fieldsets & labels instead of tables and p tags, valid xhtml instead of broken standards. This will be changed in core with 4.3, hopefully.
xclass = 0
Hi Sara, I am sorry, it is a bug I am fixing right now!
Hi Ton,
Lucky you :P (with hehe.jpg :))
It would be very nice from you if you could send me the t3x or just hehe.jpg alone (i can place it roght in the ext folder). If it's OK with Georg pls send it to me. If you can't find out my email address from the forum, pls let me know and I write it down for you.
Thanks,
B.
Hi Bence,
I have a version with the hehe.jpg.
If OK with Georg I can mail the t3x to you.
Ton
Dear Georg,
Thanks for your work with this extension. I'm using it and it's simply perfect :)
But actually I'm missing one thing: I haven't found hehe.jpg in the released extension on typo3.org :(
Can I get it maybe somehow? :)
I'd really appreciate that too! :)
Cheers, and thanks again:
B.
Hi, I have got no rights for this image, so I didn't include it in the t3x. If you got a image like this one wit GPL or similiar, I can provide a new hehe.jpg but I won't give aways this image. If Ton makes it, he should have the rights for the image, otherwise he could get into troubles too.
Hi Georg,
I've installed the extension at a site of a client of ours.
I'll e-mail you a screenshot.
Tanks again!
Ton
Hi Georg,
I already got a copy from Ben :-)
I've got it working on my own testsite (using the hehe.jpg :-) ).
Regards,
Ton
Hallo,
Dear Georg,
Thanks for this nice extension! I am going to make some of our customers very happy.
Is it right that the extension is not in the TYPO3 repository yet?
Kind regards,
Ton
Hi, that is correct. it will be available today in the evening or just ask Ben, he got a copy ;)
