The extension chnewssort provides a new Backend module for the editor which shows all the news records which are shown on the same page in the frontend. 

A typical usecase for an explanation
Think of a website with more than 100 news records which have been saved in many different sys folders and several dozens categories. Whith this extension it is possible to see with one quick look which records are currently shown in the frontend and the editor gets the chance to edit every record very fast with just one click.

The extension respects all chosen properties from the news plugin from that page and also all TS settings.

Edit-in-place
It is also possible to change the sorting order of the news records directly in the backend module. This makes a lot of sense if you have an own sorting field to show the news records in a specific order.
