Hello,

It is time for a small update for you guys.

There are several new features which I would like to present, everything is shown here:

.: Geocoding in the Frontend
You can add now a searchbox to search for a location like in the Backend.

.: Active records
In the bottom right you can see the active records which are the ones shown at the map.
Of course it works with templates and can be modified like you want to. Also a mouseover is possible to show the position on the map (Link mouse).

.: Tabs
The tabs have been completly made new as you can see it here:

Everything is styleable with templates, so do whatever you like!

.: Different templates for different categories
As you can see at www.rggooglemap.com/index.php there is another template for the POI window. You can make different templates for every category.

.: Links in the POI window
As you can see at the 2 last links, you can modifiy the linktext very easily with 3 different concepts
- Insert in the BE record something like that www.just2b.com/|Linktext to set the linktext
- Dynamically per TS: Specifiy a field of the record which should be the linktext, e.g. the name
- Static variant per TS: Set a static value for all

.: What is still to do:
- The current version is still a extra extension and has to be merged into the rggooglemap
- Some features of the old extension are still missing
- Table independency is still missing (but beeing developed)

Neue Version

Es gibt eine neue Version der Extension mit minimalen Änderungen, aber umsogrößeren Auswirkungen:

  • Die Extension läuft nun auch in einem Unterverzeichnis
  • Das Map-Plugin muss nicht mehr das erste erstelle Content-Element auf einer Seite sein.


Größere Änderungen wird es bis zur Neuauflage der Extension nicht mehr geben.

Wizard

Bernhard Kraft: Er kam, sah und modifizierte!
Ab der neuen Version gibt es auch einen wizard im Datensatz, der einem erlaubt, direkt innerhalb eines Datensatzes auf der google map einen POI zu suchen und dann die Koordinaten gleich zu speichern.

An der Extension wird hart gearbeitet und das Backend ist eigentlich fertig.
Neue Möglichkeiten im Backend:

  • Rekursion: Das Backend-Modul arbeitet nun rekursiv, Level ist per Extension Manager einstellbar.
  • Multiple Kategorien: Kategorien können verschachtelt werden und mehrere einem POI zugewiesen werden
  • Tabellenunabhängigkeit: rggooglemap ist nicht mehr an tt_address gebunden und kann absofort die Daten aus jeder Tabelle holen, unabhängig von den Spaltennamen der Spalten für Breiten- & Längengrad.

Das komplette Frontend muss überarbeitet werden und auch dann werden die beschriebenen Funktionen zur Verfügung stehen!
